Early Encounters: 2008 to 2015

  • DC vs RCB, IPL 2008: In Delhi, DC played RCB for the first time in the 17th IPL 2008 match. Rahul Dravid’s team lost against DC by 10 runs, headed by Gautam Gambhir, who scored 86. The top-order RCB batsmen were dismissed by Glenn McGrath, who took four wickets. DC defeated RCB by five wickets in the 43rd game of the season. DC finished the run chase under the leadership of captain Virender Sehwag (47), despite RCB’s total of 154, which was topped by Shreevats Goswami (52).
  • RCB vs DC, IPL 2009: In the 14th match of the IPL’s second edition, RCB and DC faced off in South Africa’s St George’s Park. 2015 to Recent Matches

  • DC vs RCB, IPL 2015: By defeating Delhi by 10 wickets on their field in Delhi, RCB once again overpowered DC.  DC was bowled out for 95 in 18.2 overs after being invited to bat first. The RCB won thanks to a 99-run stand-in partnership between Chris Gayle and Virat Kohli. This season, Yuvraj Singh, a former RCB player, joined DC.  Rain caused their subsequent match to end without a result.
  • RCB vs DC, IPL 2016: DC defeated RCB in the eleventh IPL 2016 match.   • RCB vs DC, IPL 2020: In 2020, fans witnessed DC defeat RCB in games 19 and 55. DC defeated RCB by 59 runs in the 19th match after batting an innings of 196 and holding them to 137. Bengaluru scored 152 runs in the first innings in the 55th game.
